Swipo

Privacy Policy

Effective September 28, 2026

Swipo is built to work entirely on your phone. Your photos never leave it.

What the app accesses

With your permission, Swipo reads the photos and videos in your library, along with details such as their size, date, dimensions, which album they’re in and whether they’re favorites, to find duplicates, blurry shots, screenshots and large files. It doesn’t read where photos were taken. It also reads how much storage your phone has, to show your storage usage.

What stays on your phone

All analysis happens on your device. Scan results, your keep and trash choices, your statistics and your settings are saved only in the app’s private storage on your phone, and are removed when you uninstall the app.

What we never do

Swipo does not upload your photos or details of individual photos — only overall counts (see “Third-party services”). It has no account and no ads, does not track you across other apps or websites, and does not sell your data.

Purchases

If you buy Premium, the payment is handled by Google Play or the App Store; we never see your payment details.

Third-party services

Swipo uses these services. They receive only the information listed here — never your photos or details of individual photos:

The advertising ID is not collected. Each service handles this information under its own privacy policy.

Deleting photos

Photos are only deleted after you confirm it in the app; on iPhone and on Android 11 and later, your phone also asks you to confirm. On iPhone, deleted items move to Recently Deleted in Photos for 30 days. On Android, deletion is permanent.

Your control

You can change or remove Swipo’s access to your photos at any time in your phone’s Settings. Without access, the app can’t scan your library.

Why we use this data

We use this data to provide the app and Premium (purchases), and because we have a legitimate interest in keeping the app working and improving it (usage statistics and crash reports).

How long data is kept

Data on your phone stays there until you uninstall the app. Google keeps usage statistics for up to 14 months and crash reports for up to 90 days. RevenueCat keeps purchase records for as long as needed to provide Premium and meet legal obligations.

Where data is processed

RevenueCat and Google may process this information in other countries, including the United States, with the safeguards required by law.

Children

Swipo is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect information from them.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be available in the app and on this page.
